Two separate incidents occurred last month, where the victims were approached by armed assailants demanding mail keys, highlighting a concerning pattern of violence against postal employees.
In one incident, a postal worker was threatened at gunpoint, while another suffered a laceration after being struck with a firearm. Authorities caution residents to be vigilant when using blue mailboxes, recommending they deposit mail at secure locations.
