Detroit police are actively searching for a suspect following a shooting that injured a 24-year-old man on a city bus early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 7:25 a.m. near Eight Mile Road and Mt. Elliott Street, where, according to officials, the assailant approached the victim and fired a gun before fleeing the scene.
Police have released security camera images of the suspect, described as a man in his 50s wearing a baseball cap and a white T-shirt. The Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) is enhancing security on buses in response to this and previous incidents, aiming to reassure the approximately 40,000 daily riders of their safety.
