Cameron Francis, 49, is charged with deliberate homicide after the death of his girlfriend, Kimberly Goodson, who was found shot in her Polson home. Earlier that night, Francis attempted to evade police during a traffic stop, firing at Officer Michael Wharton, who was unharmed in the encounter.

Investigators state that Francis used a military-style ghost gun and armor-piercing ammunition to kill Goodson, amid reports of an abusive relationship. With a criminal history in California, Francis is being held on a $5 million bond and is scheduled for an arraignment on February 27, 2025.
