Designed for operators in the French National Police’s elite RAID tactical unit, the Bastinelli R.E.D. Fixed Stone Washed knife is also eminently useful for everyday carry on the waistband of, or as a neck knife for, the average citizen.
The handle’s unusual shape belies its excellent ergonomics and functionality, which result from a pronounced choil, contoured black G10 scales, and jimping on the thumb ramp and above and below the butt near a lanyard slot.
The knife measures 8.6″ in length overall with a 4″ flat-ground blade of Bohler N690 stainless steel, and it weighs 4.6 ozs.
The R.E.D. is manufactured by Fox Knives in Italy and comes with a belt-clip-equipped pancake- or taco-style Kydex sheath molded for positive retention yet instant draw.
Suggested retail pricing is set for $230. For more information, visit bastinelliknives.com.
