One-piece steel scope mounts designed to fit the receivers of M14-style rifles have long been the gold standard for durability and repeatable accuracy, but they can be heavy and difficult to fit on out-of-spec receivers.
Sadlak Mfg. solves those issues with its M1A Airborne Steel Scope Mount by starting with a solid bar of U.S.-made, prehardened 4142 chrome-moly steel, at a core hardness of 26-32 Rockwell C, and then removing excess weight through precision milling.
The resulting 9-oz. mount is nitride-casehardened after machining and given a flat manganese phosphate treatment. It is then carefully inspected to ensure proper fit and packaged with detailed installation instructions and all mounting hardware, fasteners and hex wrenches.
