Ruger, one of the nation’s leading firearm manufacturers, recently made another major donation to the Kids & Clays Foundation in support of the organization’s national sporting clay series. Proceeds from each of these events benefit local Ronald McDonald Houses, which provide housing and other help to tens of thousands of critically ill children and their families across the nation each year.

“We are incredibly honored to support the Kids & Clays Foundation and its mission of helping children and their families when they need it the most,” said Todd Seyfert, Ruger CEO. “This foundation does such important work and we are proud to contribute to this very worthy cause.”

Ruger donated firearms for each of the Kids & Clays/Ronald McDonald House sporting clay events. The guns will be auctioned at each site and all proceeds support participating Ronald McDonald Houses.

“Our organization’s strength and growth are contingent upon having generous partners who understand the vast benefits of contributing to the cause,” said Todd Kemmerer, president of the Kids & Clays Foundation and owner of Capitol Equities. “Ruger is making a large difference in the lives of many critically ill children and their families and we can’t thank them enough.”

Ruger is among some of the industry’s foremost that have become Platinum-level sponsors of the foundation. Others include Federal Ammunition, Winchester Ammunition, Mossberg and Henry Repeating Arms.

There are many other names very familiar to gun owners helping as well, and for good reason. Ronald McDonald House Charities helps fund a network of Ronald McDonald Houses across the nation. They, in turn, offer free stays for loved ones when their child is facing is facing a tough medical situation that distance would make even more frightening. The organization’s website summarizes, “At a Ronald McDonald House, families can be together, enjoy home-cooked meals and receive compassionate hospitality and support from staff and volunteers—all near the child’s hospital.”
