Isaiah Karan, a 19-year-old from San Bruno, has been arrested for armed robbery related to a shoplifting incident at Sequoia Station, where he reportedly brandished a firearm when confronted by security. The incident took place just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, prompting police to release surveillance images that helped identify Karan, leading to his capture the next day.
Officers apprehended Karan near the intersection of Woodside Road and Broadway, where they discovered a loaded handgun in his jacket. Karan now faces serious charges, including felony robbery and weapon offenses, as well as multiple misdemeanor drug charges after being booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility.
