In a surprising turn during a trailer theft investigation, Santa Rosa police have arrested 37-year-old Tim Berman, a convicted felon, after discovering a makeshift drug lab and illegal firearms at his residence. The inquiry began when a utility trailer was reported stolen from a local jobsite, leading detectives to Berman’s home on Candace Avenue, where they uncovered evidence of drug manufacturing and unsecured weapons.

Authorities found materials related to the production of N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) along with methamphetamine intended for sale, all while searching through rooms cluttered with children’s toys. Berman now faces multiple charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm, and has been booked into the Sonoma County Jail with a bail set at $500,000. This alarming discovery underscores the unintended consequences that can arise from seemingly routine investigations.
