Daniel Davis Jr., 22, is sentenced to 30 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to the aggravated murder of his father, Daniel Davis Sr., 54. The incident occurred on December 30, 2024, when the two men argued in their detached garage on West Monroe-Concord Road, culminating in Davis Jr. shooting his father. This harrowing case drew attention not only for its tragic circumstances but also for the son’s two confessions to police and during a 911 call shortly after the shooting.

By accepting a plea deal, Davis Jr. avoided additional murder and felonious assault charges, bringing some resolution to a case that shocked the local community.
