While it was traditionally known for M1A rifles and M1911 pistols, Springfield Armory has been in the modern sporting rifle market for a decade now with its Saint line of AR-15 rifles. The Saint Victor, introduced in 2019, added enhanced features while keeping the price affordable with many models of AR-15 rifles and pistols and AR-10 rifles. New for 2025, Springfield is launching an update of most of the models in the Victor lineup.

Originally introduced in 2019, the Victor lineup of AR-15 pistols and rifles have enhanced features over the standard Saint.

The features shared by all Victor firearms include forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers that use Springfield’s Accu-Tite tension system, an M16-pattern bolt and carrier that is made of 9130 steel and HP/MPI tested, and a nickel-boron coated fire control unit that uses a flat trigger. Using a direct-impingement gas system, the low-profile gas block is pinned in place. Aluminum components are Type III hard coat anodized, while steel parts are given a Melonite finish. The stock and pistol grip are by B5 Systems. All Victor rifles are supplied with metal folding back-up sights.

New features of the “Gen 2” Victors include a four-prong flash hider, QD cups, a 45-degree throw safety lever and a flared magazine well.

Updates to the “Gen 2” Victors include adding QD cups to the aluminum free-float handguards, and the ambidextrous safety levers now have a 45-degree throw. The charging handle has been changed from mil-spec to an ambidextrous Radian Raptor-LT. Barrels have a constant-taper profile and are capped by a new four-prong flash hider. The magazine well of the lower receiver has been flared for easier insertion. Coyote Brown finishes are available on select models.

Sixteen newly updated Victor models are being introduced, including AR-15 pistols (5.56 NATO, 11.5” barrel), rifles (5.56 NATO, 16” and 14.5” with pinned and welded flash hider), and short-barreled rifles (SBRs)(5.56 NATO, 11.5” barrel), and “large frame” AR-10 rifles (7.62 NATO, 16” and 20” barrels). Victor rifles are also made in low-capacity and California-compliant versions.

MSRPs increase slightly over original Victor models, ranging from $1,249 for the 16”-barrel 5.56 NATO Victor AR-15 rifle to $1,689 for the 20”-barrel 7.62 NATO Victor AR-10 rifle. For more information, see the company’s website.
