Many attendees, such as Pam Bosley, co-founder of the non-profit Purpose Over Pain, recount personal tragedies, as Bosley herself lost her son to gun violence in 2006. The event features traditional festivities like egg hunts and visits from the Easter Bunny, aiming to provide a joyful respite from the trauma that families endure.
This annual celebration not only fosters community spirit but also creates new memories to help heal old wounds. Those in attendance, including JoAnne Hill who brought her grandchildren to honor their uncle, express the uplifting nature of the event, highlighting that Easter symbolizes renewal and hope.
