It was amazing to see St. Funogas’ article today (8/22/25) entitled “My Concerns With Artificial Intelligence.” Hopefully my thoughts below will add to his insights! Great minds think alike! 🙂
I deny being a Luddite, but I must confess I’m concerned about the rapidly growing utilization of A.I. in our lives. It’s kind of shocking how many devices are connecting to some A.I. flavor or the other, and I suppose – eventually – just one or two super-A.I.s, directly or indirectly. Smartphones (for all their utility, essentially a government eavesdropping device), home security systems, Alexa, cars, and even computers/laptops are coming pre-wired (as it were) with A.I. “for our convenience”!
But what if there is a strategy of Satan to so influence the modern human race in these End Times to the effect that they become slightly other than human? Not fully human in the same sense as people have been human for millennia?
What would be the point? Well… (I know, I know, lots of hypotheticals here…) what if extensive participation in this overall strategy causes humans to turn away from God, to turn against God, and to become hardened to the Gospel, without even realizing what is happening? How would that happen? Like developing a callus from repeated hard handling of a tool? Gradual, unnoticed? Spiritual hardening.
What if it is Satan’s strategy to make people other than fully human in order to dull their interest in connecting with God? What if it actually directly interferes with their relationship with God? Blocks it? Makes it harder? Distorts it? Blurs it?
What if modern high technology encourages people who would normally be interested in spiritual things to seek “spiritual” experiences elsewhere? In technology? In “quantum physics” or other quasi-religious / “ultimate reality” systems?
What if dulling a person’s spirit or spiritual nature / spiritual interests is something Satan has been doing for a long time now, particularly with drugs and occult experiences? But today there is a way (or multiple ways) to accomplish that technologically, ways we hardly notice…
How do these things affect us? Things like:
- Friendship with non-human intelligence (one person I know has daily creative “adventures” with her A.I. “friend” that draws lifelike pictures of the A.I.’s avatar and this person doing things together)
- Unwarranted trust in a non-human intelligence’s motives and knowledge
- Unprecedented connection to overwhelming amounts of raw data
- Unprecedented public release of heretofore deeply personal information, and encouraging a new carelessness about personal privacy/freedoms
- Historically unprecedented exposure to highly convincing falsehoods and scams
- Unprecedented, easy, frequent, casual exposure to occult concepts, images and experiences
- Unprecedented exposure to impossible images/situations created using A.I., triggering cognitive dissonance
Actual physical effects of constant background electromagnetic exposure
Physical effects of exposure to electromagnetic radiation that is even deliberately intended to affect cognition (5G, 6G). (Many 5G systems can automatically, dramatically increase its power during electromagnetic-absorbing events like rainstorms and dust storms – and what would happen if it was turned up and left that way – nationwide – someday?)
And what about the Panopticon Effect? People change how they act when they think they are being watched. They police themselves, become more conformist, experience a sense of loss of control. And we are under surveillance – we do it to ourselves via smartphones, but there are also cameras everywhere. And in many places we would not even expect…
All of this leading to diminished internal, personal, mental freedom and spiritual, freedom. And increasing the likelihood of manipulation.
I’d even go so far as to contend that the combination of Artificial Intelligence with Quantum Computers creates a potential avenue of actual demonic influence in the operation of the A.I.. I know, I know, that sounds crazy, but what we’re learning about “aliens” not being from “outer space” but being “interdimensional” (aka “spiritual”) combined with quantum weirdness should concern us. What could go wrong?
These factors and more add up to a powerful influence on humans personally and socially. This has a direct bearing on preparedness: Dulling our mental life, our zeal for freedom, our perception of the current dangers and trends, blurring our history, and separating us from vital connections with fellow preppers and friends and family, our churches, and the natural world would all be very serious but subtle dangers.
Mindset counts!
So, what do we do about all this?
Being aware of the potential for trouble is a good first step. Asking for wisdom from God is another essential step. And I’d suggest being very careful what we use A.I. for, and how we pose our queries to A.I. (I’ve had an A.I. give multiple, clearly wrong answers before). Data summaries might be less hazardous than calling for conclusions or opinions.
I try to minimize my use of technology and maximize my interactions with the outdoors, with nature, my gardens, my wife and friends, our animals. And if we really do not want to wind up being manipulated and controlled by this runaway new technology (and possibly by dark spiritual forces), we must have a deliberate, daily, concentrated relationship with the God of the Bible. There is no other way.
Dear Lord Jesus, open our eyes to see the danger approaching!
