A burglary suspect was shot and is now hospitalized after breaking into a home in Harvey, N.D., on Friday, October 11.
Police received a call of a burglary and shots fired just after 3:30 that morning. Upon arrival, officers found the suspect had been shot by the homeowner and was wounded. The suspect was flown on an emergency flight to an area hospital, and his current status is unknown.
Police noted that the suspect was on probation at the time of the incident, but further details were not released due to the ongoing investigation. (KFYR TV; Harvey, N.D.; 10/11/24)

Mrs. Louis Romano of North Stonington, Conn., found that burglars had been breaking into her home. So, accompanied by her daughter, she staked out the house with a shotgun. When the two women heard footsteps inside the house, they entered, capturing two teenage burglars and held them until police came. (The Day, New London, Conn.)
