The owner of a tobacco store in Norwalk, Calif., defended his business against three robbery suspects on the morning of Tuesday, August 11.
The armed business owner said one of the suspects pepper-sprayed his business partner in the face, prompting him to grab his gun and open fire. He struck one of the suspects, causing all three to run from the scene. With their getaway car apparently blocked in, the three men continued to flee the area on foot. Responding deputies later found one of the suspects, a 25-year-old man, in a nearby alley, suffering from a gunshot wound. The suspect was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
The two other burglary suspects were taken into custody and charged with robbery. (KCAL News; Norwalk, Calif.; 8/11/24)
