Three men are arrested in Battle Creek after police uncover two handguns during a routine response to a report of possible firearms. Officers from the Battle Creek Police Department were alerted to a vehicle behaving suspiciously at around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, prompting them to investigate further.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers detained four individuals and discovered one firearm in plain view, ultimately locating a second handgun during a search of the vehicle. The arrested individuals, who range in age from 20 to 35, now face weapons-related charges and have been taken to the Calhoun County Jail, as local safety officials prioritize firearm awareness ahead of the Fourth of July festivities.
