Lafourche Parish authorities have arrested Tyrone Carter Jr., 19, and Chance Fletcher, 18, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on August 7, 2025, in Thibodaux. The victim, who traveled from another parish to sell a smartphone, was confronted by the suspects as they discussed the sale, leading to one suspect brandishing a gun and the other stealing the victim’s property.
Following a swift investigation, detectives apprehended Carter soon after the crime, during which they discovered a loaded handgun and body armor at his residence. Fletcher was arrested shortly thereafter, and both suspects now face serious charges, including armed robbery with use of a firearm, with bail set at $260,000 and $250,000 respectively. This incident raises questions about safety in transactions involving second-hand goods and has prompted further investigation by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.
