Family and friends gather in Harlem to honor Excenia Mette, known affectionately as “Momma Zee,” who was fatally shot in a case of mistaken identity. A vigil attended by about 30 people features heartfelt tributes from loved ones who refer to her as the “Mayor of Harlem,” highlighting how her bodega served as a central hub for the community since the 1980s.
