Missouri-based VKTR (pronounced “vector”) Industries is known for its premium AR-15 components and piston-driven AR rifles and handguns. New for 2026, the company is jumping into the 2011 world with its Vanguard line, with the company’s initial model being the VKP Pro.

The VKP Pro is the first and flagship model in VKTR Industries’ new Vanguard line of 2011-style handguns.

VKTR calls the VKP Pro a “double stack 1911” and its design follows the 2011 pattern of a hybrid modular frame, where the mainframe and grip module are bolted together. In the VKP Pro’s case, the frame is made of 416 stainless steel with an attached reinforced polymer grip module with VKTR’s custom grip surface. Chambered in 9 mm, the pistol feeds from STI/SVI-pattern magazines and uses a 4.40-inch bushingless bull barrel. VKTR calls the VKP Pro’s single-action trigger “combat match” and it is tuned for a 3.5-lb. pull weight with a clean break and a positive reset.

The VKTR Pro uses a steel main frame and has a “full size” 4.40-inch barrel.

All metal components are steel, with no MIM parts used. Metal surfaces are finished in a diamond-like coating (DLC) ArmorLube coating, with color options of Armor Black, flat dark-earth (FDE), Sniper Grey and green. Optics ready, the VKP Pro uses an adapter plate system and comes with co-witness height XS sights. Each VKP Pro pistol ships in a case with four Atlas magazines (2 x 16 round and 2 x 20 round) and three optics plates (Aimpoint Acro, Trijicon RMR, and Leupold DPP footprints). The pistol has an overall length of 6.9 inches and weighs 56 ounces.

The VKTR VKP Pro will be the flagship model in VKTR’s Vanguard line. It has an MSRP of $4,000. For more information, see the company’s website.
