Cordell Cobb, a 24-year-old resident of Waynesboro, has been sentenced to 318 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to ten armed robberies that occurred across Southern Georgia. The robberies spanned from January to June 2023 and involved establishments in Bulloch, Burke, Chatham, Emanuel, Glascock, Jenkins, and Ware Counties, where Cobb brandished a firearm while demanding cash from employees.
The federal investigation, part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative, led to his capture after a coordinated effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies. In addition to his prison term, Cobb must pay $12,081 in restitution and serve five years of supervised release following his imprisonment. This case underscores the serious consequences of violent crime and highlights the efficacy of collaboration among law enforcement to enhance community safety.
