Winchester Ammunition has officially opened a modern new office in Clayton, Mo. The location accommodates nearly 70 full-time staff from the Winchester division, in addition to corporate support staff, including finance, technology and human resources.

“Winchester recognized opportunities with a new division office that will benefit its employees and corporate culture for years to come,” said Brett Flaugher, president of Winchester Ammunition. “Winchester is a brand with 159 years of history and a strong legacy as an industry leader, and we are excited about operating our business in this new environment. The ongoing support of Missouri’s congressional leaders like Congressman Sam Graves, Senator Josh Hawley, and Senator Eric Schmitt, and their commitment to fostering business growth and supporting our industry, is vital to the company’s growth and this important milestone.”

While Winchester continues operations at its manufacturing sites across the United States, the new office in Clayton is designed to enhance connectivity and attract new talent to the company. To commemorate the opening, Winchester Ammunition, together with U.S. Congressman from Missouri Sam Graves, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the office facility. The event drew more than 150 attendees, underscoring its significance.

“I am proud that Winchester has chosen Missouri for the location of its newly created headquarters,” Rep. Graves remarked. “To have the only American-owned major ammunition manufacturer in the state of Missouri is a source of pride for the region and a vote of confidence in our workforce.”

Clayton, Mo., is roughly a four-hour drive east of a massive construction currently underway at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant near Independence, Mo. Winchester is overseeing to project and when complete will manage production of the 6.8 mm cartridges that will be used by many of U.S. military’s firearms.

“Our Next Generation Squad Weapon ammunition facility project at Lake City is well underway…,” Kenneth Lane, president, CEO and director of Olin—owner of Winchester ammunition—said in late October. “…and we are on course to complete construction in late 2027.”
