A 33-year-old woman is hospitalized in fair condition after being shot in her vehicle following a physical altercation in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. Saturday night near the 3800 block of West Chicago Avenue, where the woman’s conflict with a man escalated to gunfire.
Police report that the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and managed to transport herself to Mount Sinai Hospital for treatment. Authorities have not made any arrests, and investigations are ongoing to identify the shooter and establish the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
