A woman is shot and killed by Lewisville police after a high-speed pursuit triggered by an attempt to stop her vehicle over a felony warrant. The chase escalated when the woman crashed into a police vehicle and ultimately ended in a parking lot, where she brandished a handgun and refused to comply with officers’ commands to drop it.

Despite officers’ attempts to apprehend her safely, the situation escalated, resulting in officers discharging their firearms. Quick lifesaving measures were implemented, but she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. The incident raises questions about the nature of the warrant and the actions taken by law enforcement during the encounter.
