Zbur emphasizes that the bill was never intended to alter the established Castle Doctrine or restrict self-defense in homes.

One key provision that garnered significant attention would have removed justifications for lethal actions in certain scenarios, causing widespread concern about its real-world implications. Zbur plans to refine the bill after it is referred to committee, promising to work closely with law enforcement and gun safety advocates to create a clearer, more effective policy.
