Jamer Mauricio Sepulveda, a 22-year-old suspect from Colombia, pleads guilty to being a getaway driver in a high-profile armed robbery outside the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The case gained attention when law enforcement discovered a Glock .45 caliber handgun, previously registered to notorious former LAPD officer Christopher Dorner, at an Airbnb associated with the robbery crew.

The robbery took place on August 7, 2024, when Sepulveda and accomplices stole a $1 million Patek Philippe watch from a tourist at gunpoint. Notably, investigators are still unraveling how Dorner’s gun came to be involved in this case as they probe potential connections to other armed robberies across the state. Sepulveda now faces up to 20 years in federal prison under the Hobbs Act.
