A teenage boy is in police custody in Baytown, Texas, after allegedly shooting a girl during an altercation at an apartment complex playground on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. when the suspect approached the victim, who was reportedly already known to him, and opened fire, leading to her hospitalization and subsequent death.

Details surrounding the altercation prior to the shooting remain unclear, as the identities of both individuals involved have not yet been released. Baytown Police are actively investigating this tragic incident, and further information is expected to emerge as the case unfolds.
