The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office identifies the individuals involved in three police shootings occurring over three days in March, including an altercation on I-95 that involved an off-duty officer. Among the incidents, a suicidal woman fired at police before being shot multiple times, and another suspect, wearing a bulletproof vest, was shot dead by an officer following a traffic stop where he fired first.

In the I-95 incident, Lt. Marc Crawford discharged his weapon at a semi-truck driver after their vehicles made contact amid heavy traffic; fortunately, no one was injured. The release of names has stirred public attention, with many questioning the use of force and the lack of video evidence since the officer was not wearing a body camera during the off-duty incident.
