The Springfield Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Walgreens on Campbell Avenue early Tuesday morning. At approximately 9:04 AM, a man wearing a mask entered the store and demanded money while claiming to be armed, before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident, and authorities have stated that there is no immediate threat to the public. Police have yet to identify the suspect and are actively pursuing leads in the case. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
