A Pennsylvania Superior Court has upheld social media platforms’ authority to manage content concerning gun rights, affirming dismissals in the case of Armslist v. Facebook. Judge Maria McLaughlin stated that the court found no evidence of the companies bowing to government pressure, indicating instead that they are exercising their independent judgment to protect community standards.

The ruling carries implications for how social media can regulate not just gun-related content but potentially other sensitive issues as well.
