A 30-year-old man, Delorian A. Banks, finds himself under arrest on felony gun and drug charges after being shot twice in Fox Lake earlier this month. Banks arrived at Advocate Condell Immediate Care Center in Round Lake Beach seeking treatment for his injuries following a confrontation that escalated to gunfire, reportedly occurring after a verbal dispute with a suspect.
During the investigation, police discovered a significant amount of narcotics and a firearm in Banks’ vehicle. While he was treated for non-life-threatening wounds, he was later taken into custody on charges including unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and intent to deliver controlled substances. The case remains open as authorities continue to seek the gunman involved in the shooting.
