The United States is escalating its military presence off the coast of Venezuela as Navy SEALs and Delta Force prepare for potential operations aimed at ousting President Nicolás Maduro. A converted cargo vessel named the “Ghost Ship,” now serving as a base for special operations, is reportedly housing around 150 SEALs ready to strike. This comes amid a significant buildup of U.S. forces, including B-1 bombers and around 10,000 troops, as President Trump continues his campaign against drug cartels, labeling Maduro as a leader of organized crime.

Recent satellite images have shown U.S. warships and 1,600 Marines moving closer to Venezuela, indicating an increase in military activity. The Pentagon plans “surgical” operations to target Maduro and key associates, while claims of captured CIA agents in Venezuela are dismissed as “fake news.” Additionally, President Trump has formally authorized covert CIA operations in the region, which could involve manhunts or other interventions. The situation is evolving rapidly, making the U.S. intentions clear as it seeks to dismantle Maduro’s regime amid ongoing accusations of state-embedded drug trafficking networks.
