John Blount, 51, and Eddie White, 37, are convicted for their involvement in a violent home invasion robbery that occurred nearly eight years ago at an illegal gambling house in south Sacramento. Armed with guns, the two men held victims at gunpoint, demanding money and personal items while physically assaulting some of them during the incident that took place early on January 22, 2018.
The courtroom revealed shocking details of how the robbery unfolded, with victims thrown to the ground and furniture used as weapons against them. As the robbers fled, a woman monitoring the scene through security cameras alerted authorities, leading to the apprehension of Blount and White shortly after the crime. With sentencing scheduled for January 16, 2025, Blount faces a potential maximum sentence exceeding 250 years, while White could receive nearly 41 years in prison.
