Authorities arrest 37-year-old Gabriel Henry Garavito in Moreno Valley after he is found intoxicated and armed with an untraceable assault rifle. Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of domestic violence and discovered Garavito outside a home with drug paraphernalia visible inside his vehicle.
Upon searching the car, deputies find a compact AR-15 style rifle, narcotics, cash, and equipment indicative of drug sales. Garavito, already a convicted felon, faces multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance while armed and possession of a large-capacity magazine. He is currently released on bail but also has a pending charge of criminal conspiracy.
