Connecticut Valley Arms (CVA) has been in the gun business since the early 1970s, and while the company maintains its supply of old-school-type blackpowder rifles, today’s CVA has an array of modern guns, which include single-shot centerfire rifles and shotguns, as well as turn-bolt rifles. Watch our video above to see CVA’s scout rifle, the Cascade SR-80, in use on the range. The CVA Cascade SR-80, as seen here, is a scout-type bolt action. I typically give my garage a good cleaning every few months. Every time I do, I pick up some of my old antlers, sheds, and dead heads. The Texas State Senate has passed House Bill 3053, which could soon prohibit local governments from organizing gun buyback programs designed to reduce the number of firearms in circulation. Republican State Senator Bob Hall argues that these buyback events are ineffective and a waste of taxpayer money, stating they do little to address gun violence. Meanwhile, Councilman Courage…

The biggest fish ever caught with a rod and reel was an incredible 17-foot-long, 3,400-pound great white shark. It was landed by a charter boat captain named Frank Mundus in 1986 in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Montauk, New York. Mundus’s nickname was “Monster Man,” and for good reason. Catching that big shark was the equivalent of pulling in a pickup truck with a mouth full of razor-sharp 6-inch teeth! While that was a truly remarkable haul, bigger isn’t necessarily always better, especially if you like eating the fish you catch. Some of the tastiest fish in the water…

Shotguns may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of IWI US, with the company’s extensive lineup of conventional and bullpup modern sporting rifles, but six years ago, the company announced its first shotgun with the Tavor TS12.
