A Brazos County district court jury convicts 28-year-old Jontae Webber of aggravated robbery for an incident that occurred in February 2023 at a Circle K convenience store in College Station. The jury sentences him to 35 years in prison after discovering he pointed a gun at the store clerk while stealing cash and goods, unaware that a tracking device helped police locate him just hours later.

Investigators find not only the stolen merchandise but also the blue coveralls he wore during the crime and the handgun used, highlighting a swift police response. This robbery comes less than a year after Webber’s release from parole in California for similar offenses, raising concerns about his pattern of violent behavior and the safety of the community, as stated by the district attorney’s office.
