CVA Recalls All Paramount Muzzleloading Rifles

CVA has issued a safety recall notice for all CVA Paramount muzzleloading rifles, including Paramount, Paramount HTR, Paramount Pro, and Paramount Pro V2. The bulletin pertains to all production years of these models.

Owners are required to cease use of all Paramount muzzleloading rifles immediately and, if loaded, safely unload. Owners unfamiliar with the unloading process can find instructions in Section 17 of the owner’s manual, which is available online here [PDF].

Reason for Recall
An unsafe condition may occur if one of the rifle’s is improperly loaded, including but not limited to: double loading, use of incorrect or incompatible powder, improper loading, cleaning or storage procedures and presence of obstruction.

These conditions may create an increased risk of failure, serious injury, or death to the user or bystanders during initial or subsequent firings.

Instructions for Owners
Immediately discontinue use of your Paramount muzzloading rifle and refrain from loading or firing, if currently loaded. For detailed instructions regarding the remedy, and to begin the recall process, please visit this webpage.

Customers who own a recalled model will return the product to receive one of the following remedies:

Gift card (for use on the BPI Outdoors website)

—$2,200 for returned Paramount Pros & Pro V2s

—$1,700 for returned Paramounts & Paramount HTRs

Exchange for an Endura model + additional $100 gift card
—A .45-caliber Endura Pro for returned Paramount Pros & Pro V2s (Models: PR3511, PR3511N, PR3511NSW, PR3514N, PR3512, PR3512N, PR3512NX, PR3520, PR3520N, PR3520NX, PR3521N)

—A .45-caliber Endura LRH for Paramount/Paramount HTRs (Models: PR3501, PR3501N, PR3501NSW, PR3502, PR3503, PR3503N, PR3503NSW, PR3504, PR3504N, PR3505, PR3505N, PR3505NM)
