Delaware County Moves to Ban Ghost Guns and Rapid Fire Devices

Delaware County is on track to become the first suburb of Philadelphia to enact a ban on ghost guns and rapid-fire devices, responding to growing public safety concerns. The county councilmembers have expressed strong support for an ordinance aimed at reducing the availability of these hard-to-trace firearms that have become increasingly prevalent in recent years.

If passed, this ordinance would mark a significant step in firearm regulation in Pennsylvania, reflecting a wider trend among municipalities to address gun violence. As ghost guns are often assembled from kits and lack serial numbers, their regulation poses unique challenges for law enforcement and community safety efforts.
