In August 2026, First Breach Defense Technologies, a producer of ammunition and unmanned aerial systems based in Hagerstown, Md., announced that its common stock had begun trading on the NASDAQ capital market under the ticker symbol “FBDT.” The announcement marks an important next step for the company, which initially outlined a strategy of expanding domestic ammunition manufacturing capacity and has since created a vertically integrated production platform for critical ammunition components, finished ammunition and advanced drone technologies within the United States.

The concept for First Breach first emerged in 2018 from the father-and-son team of Jeffrey and Jordan Low, who were inspired to create a components-manufacturing facility that kept tolerances and standards tight while also keeping costs down. The pair purchased the dormant Fairchild Aviation production plant in Hagerstown and updated the facility with modern production equipment. In 2020, First Breach began production. The addition of a full-service machine shop ensured that the company could produce components for its machines that were made from better material and held to tighter tolerances. Any components breakage can be resolved within the factory, ensuring that any production down-time is minimized.
