The Hornady family was presented with the prestigious Legacy Award during the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation’s Gift of Legacy celebration in October 2025. The honor recognizes the enduring generosity, community leadership and deep-rooted commitment to the greater Grand Island, Neb., area by the Hornadys.
“I cannot image Grand Island without the Hornady family,” said Kyle Overturf, president of Greater Grand Island Community Foundation Board of Trustees. “Their support runs through every vein of our community and their partnership with the foundation has made them the very heart of Grand Island.”
The Gift of a Legacy celebration honors individuals and families who make lasting impacts through their endowments, planned gifts and community leadership. The evening brought together donors, community leaders and friends of both the Hornady family and the Foundation to celebrate precision, passion and philanthropy—a reflection of the family’s legacy and the Foundation’s mission.
