A 17-year-old Houston teen, Vershun Woods, is facing multiple charges after being accused of a violent armed robbery in which he reportedly forced a victim to strip at gunpoint while recording the incident. The troubling event took place at the Haverstock Hill Apartments on March 22, where Woods allegedly directed his victim to remove all clothing in front of witnesses, capturing the entire ordeal on his cellphone and later posting the footage on social media.
This incident marks a serious escalation in Woods’ criminal history, as he was already out on a $50,000 bond for a previous aggravated robbery involving a deadly weapon. According to court documents, Woods is known for targeting residents at the same apartment complex, leading to increased community concern. Currently, no bond has been established for Woods in this latest case, with his next court appearance set for April 3.
