Dyllan Paulo-Leslie, a 29-year-old man from Kona, is sentenced to 25 years in prison for his involvement in an armed robbery and a subsequent escape from custody. The sentence comes after he pleaded guilty to charges related to a November 2022 robbery at a Kaloko Industrial Park restaurant, where he brandished a firearm before fleeing in a vehicle. His escape from the Hawaii Community Correctional Center in April 2023, which ended with him sustaining injuries, adds to the severity of his criminal record.

This case highlights the alarming escalation in criminal activities, as Paulo-Leslie not only committed robbery but also fired at a police officer during his arrest. Following a series of legal proceedings, including a 20-year sentence handed down in June 2024, his latest sentence underscores the impact of his actions on public safety and law enforcement.
