Man shot by SWAT in Victorian Village identified in murder case

In a dramatic turn of events, Darnell Jones, a 33-year-old wanted in connection with the murder of his 13-year-old daughter, is shot by a SWAT officer in Columbus’ Victorian Village. The shooting occurred after Jones allegedly brandished a firearm and fired at officers who had approached him based on intelligence regarding his location. He is currently hospitalized with injuries, but is expected to survive and faces charges of felonious assault related to the incident.

The Toledo Police Department is actively pursuing Jones for the alleged murder of Kei’Mani Latigue, whose body was found in an abandoned home just days before the confrontation in Columbus.
