The recent Democratic Party mayoral primary election of Zohran Mamdani in New York City does not bode well. Gun violence in the United States is hitting alarming levels in 2021, with over 8,100 fatalities reported in the first five months alone, raising concerns among experts about a potentially deadlier summer.
