Founded by Cori Thomas, the festival aims to highlight the exceptional creative work done by inmates as part of their rehabilitation process. As the festival expands to include women in 2026, it serves not only as a platform for artistic expression but also as a therapeutic outlet, allowing inmates like Miguel Sifuentes to confront personal trauma through storytelling on screen, ultimately fostering a dialogue about mental health and healing behind bars.
