Donald Trump reveals a new partnership with the law firm Willkie, Farr, and Gallagher, committing to provide at least $100 million in pro bono services during his second administration. This agreement not only aligns with Trump’s priorities like supporting veterans and combating antisemitism but also reflects his ongoing battle against what he terms the “Weaponization of the Justice System.”

The deal comes as Trump intensifies his critique of law firms connected to his political adversaries, such as those aiding former special counsel Jack Smith. Notably, the agreement includes a stipulation for merit-based hiring practices, eschewing diversity, equity, and inclusion requirements, which may further energize his base amid his campaign narrative.
