A 21-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Motel 6 in Newark, Delaware, that occurred on October 15. Police report that the incident unfolded when a woman met a man she connected with online; shortly after his arrival, a second suspect, armed with a handgun, demanded her money and belongings. Fortunately, the victim was unharmed during the robbery.
Wah’kee Tabron, the older suspect, was already in custody at the Sussex Correctional Institution when he was charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree conspiracy. He remains detained on a $32,000 secured bond. The minor, who was also in custody at the Department of Services for Children, Youth & Their Families, is facing similar charges and is held on a $15,000 cash bond. The investigation continues as authorities work to gather more details.
