Rotherie Durrell Foster, a 39-year-old from Camarillo, has been ordered to stand trial on 35 felony counts, which include two murder charges related to the deaths of Jose Valasquez and Bill Levy. The Ventura County Superior Court also held Foster accountable for an armed robbery at La Unica Mini Mart, during which he allegedly bound employees with duct tape and stole thousands of dollars.
Prosecutors claim Foster murdered Valasquez in 2022, stealing his vehicle and financial details before dumping his body in the Santa Monica Mountains. Additionally, he is accused of intentionally poisoning Levy with fentanyl and exploiting his financial information to drain his accounts. Foster is currently in custody with no bail, and his arraignment is scheduled for October 2, 2025.
