The Denver Police Department has released body camera footage from two recent shootings, highlighting the tense circumstances surrounding these incidents. In a gas station robbery on October 27, officers fatally shot a robbery suspect, 35-year-old Hosea Rasheed Moore, after he opened fire, injuring two clerks and an officer who required surgery. The injured clerks were caught in the crossfire, with one hit in the leg and the other in the foot.
In a second incident on November 2, officers responded to reports of a mass gathering where gunfire erupted, injuring a juvenile suspect along with two others. The situation escalated when the suspect raised a gun toward the police, provoking an officer to fire 14 rounds. As investigations continue, all involved officers will be reassigned until further inquiries are completed.
