Once one of the most popular hunting cartridges in North America, a decade ago, the .30-30 Winchester and the lever-action rifles that chambered it seemed to be fading away in an era of short magnums, precision rifle cartridges and modern sporting rifles. That has all changed in the last five years with a lever-action revival, with companies including Marlin, Henry, Smith & Wesson and Rossi introducing (or re-introducing) rifles chambered for the classic cartridge. One of the latest .30-30 lever guns comes from an unexpected place: Turkey. New for 2026, GForce Arms has introduced its LVR30S.
In contrast to the Winchester 92/94-style, top-eject, Saddlehorn rifles that GForce introduced in 2025, the LVR30S is a side-ejecting rifle with a solid-top receiver that follows the Marlin pattern. Barrels are 20 inches long with their muzzles threaded 5/8×24 TPI. Barrel and receiver are made of 4140 steel.
With the rifle chambered for the .30-30 Win., the underbarrel tubular magazine holds six rounds. Sights are a hooded front post with a fiber-optic insert and an adjustable buckhorn rear. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics mounting. Safeties consist of a half-cock position on the hammer and a safety that will not allow the rifle to fire unless the lever is closed and the bolt locked into battery.
The wood stock and fore-end are checkered, with quick-detachable sling-swivel studs. The lever has a medium-size loop that is leather wrapped. With an overall length of 38.5 inches, the rifle weighs 7.5 lbs.
The LVR30S is available in four configurations. They include a nitride metal finish (MSRP $729), nickel metal finish ($749), or a case-colored receiver with the remaining metal given a nitride finish (MSRP $799). These three finish options come with a checkered Turkish walnut stock and fore-end. The rifle is also available with a matte hard chrome metal finish and gray laminated wood stock (MSRP $799).
