A 22-year-old man from Schenectady has been sentenced to four years in prison after being caught with an illegal firearm and substantial drugs during a traffic stop on I-90. Trejon Faircloth was pulled over on May 10 while on probation, and a search revealed a loaded Glock .40-caliber handgun concealed under his driver’s seat, alongside a backpack containing various narcotics including 149 grams of oxycodone and 84 grams of heroin.
In addition to the firearm, officers discovered scales, baggies indicative of drug distribution, and $2,200 cash in the vehicle. Following his prison term, Faircloth will also face five years of post-release supervision, drawing attention to the ongoing issues of illegal firearms and drug trafficking in the region.
