Last month, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) announced nearly $1.3 billion is being delivered to state conservation and wildlife access programs. The funds—which also help operate, maintain and establish target ranges nationwide—are derived from Pittman-Robertson excise taxes paid by firearm and ammunition manufacturers and Dingell-Johnson excise taxes paid by the angling industry. A total of $804,790,385 of the nearly $1.3 billion is directly sourced from firearm and ammunition excise taxes paid by manufacturers. Armed Citizen® Today A man in Houston, Texas, left a gun range around 5 p.m. on Feb. 10. Unbeknownst to him, three robbers observed him leaving and followed him back to his apartment. They then reportedly attempted to rob the man of his range bag, including the guns in it, but the man was able to draw one of two guns he had on his person and fire at the suspects, striking one in the chin. Time to start the garden and not spend time watching world news. I can’t change a thing that is happening, but I can grow food and pray.
